Tosca Gort, director and founder of the largest coaching agency in The Netherlands – GORTcoaching – believes there is more than one way to reach your goals in life. To reach these goals and to bring people closer to their true self, Tosca founded her business GORTcoaching. As one of our members, we’re proud to introduce you to Tosca Gort.
I’m Tosca Gort, the founder of GORTcoaching, the largest coaching agency in the Netherlands. GORTcoaching is a coaching agency that was founded 10 years ago. Our passion is to provide excellent coaching that makes people happier in all aspects of life. Popular coaching topics are: career questions, finding purpose and relieve from stress & burnout. We believe that only the best coaches are good enough for our clients. Mainly because of this, we have now become market leader in the Netherlands.
2018 was a very special year for GORTcoaching because we have grown more than 60%. The lesson that I have learned from this is that you should always believe in your own quality standards. People will notice this, and people will love and support you company for your high standards.
I’m very thankful for everything we have achieved already. We have very clear and ambitious goals for 2019, but those are very boring growth numbers. What makes me go to work everyday with a smile is being able to work on the 2020 strategy and vision. In 2019 we want to be able to educate our own coaches towards a master title in coaching.
The Next Women is a very nice female only network. You can get in contact with the people that can help you with the challenges you are facing as a business owner, they are all about helping you. GORTcoaching does not need funding, but this is also a great aspect of the network. I personally loved the NextWoman Summit last year.
I would advise starting entrepreneurs to really understand and follow this saying: ” If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true ”. You can use it in the following situations:
If people promise you something in business that ”sounds too good to be true” it is probably the case and you must be very thorough in researching this deal and/or person. As a human you always want to believe that something is going well, but it is always better to really know for sure. In business terms, hope is not always the basis for the best choices.
Don’t be tempted to believe the shiny image of other entrepreneurs who are just good at portraying a perfect image in the media and vlogs. Always think: ”If it sounds too good to be true… ”. There is a lot of fakeness about success in the media and many people try to keep this image at a high cost. Despite the fact that it may not go so well with the company and the lifestyle of the person in question is financed by partners / legacy or even their suppliers. We have seen a lot of high flying entrepreneurs who go bankrupt. Keep your eye on the money and make long term decisions.
Last but not least; lately I’ve noticed that business coaches are becoming very popular. I would advise to never ever consider a business coach who did not build a large company from scratch themselves. Being a small business owner is just not the same. If you are ambitious find yourself a good coach who walked the walk. Unless you want to stay small and actually believe the passive income mantra that goes around a lot. ”If it sounds too good to be true…”.
