Simone Brummelhuis is the founder and CEO of The NextWomen, the female business brand for entrepreneurs, executives and investors, launched in 2009.
Simone initially worked for 10 years as a successful lawyer before becoming an entrepreneur when she set up her own B2B publishing company, Brummsbooks. Later, as co-owner and managing director, she developed start-up, IENS, into the no. 1 user generated content database publisher of restaurant guides in The Netherlands.
Simone is involved as adviser on board level with Xs4all, Astia (was VP Europe) and IENS.nl (was MD) and the 1%club. Simone is frequently asked to be a speaker, judge or mentor on businessplan competitions & awards, such as the yearly Accenture Media Innovation Awards, UK Pitch, Sprout Challenger competition, Suikeroom Pitch competitions, UK Everywoman Technology Awards, Startup Weekend Amsterdam, The Next Women Mentor program, Startup Leadership Program, London, Founders Institute, Amsterdam and 3DayStartup.
