Since he created, Yann has personally advised more than 50 startup founding and management teams or their boards. Because he is highly selective about the companies he agrees to work with, most of the companies Yann has advised have outpaced their competition on metrics such as velocity, scalability, year-on-year growth, profitability and successful exits.

Recognizing the need to support entrepreneurship in Europe, Yann is a mentor for Seedcamp, a member of the European board of, and a board member and board advisor for several Internet startups. He maintains an active group of network partners, ranging from industry experts to M&A specialists and repeat entrepreneurs. 

In his spare time, Yann enjoys the company of artists and disrupters of all kinds, to whom he offers business coaching.

Between 2011 and early 2013, he served as the strategic advisor and coordinator of the International Venture Club (, gathering 30+ leading investors from corporate, independent and government entities to boost investment performance and innovation.

Yann holds a Master of International Affairs Management and a Master in Communication from Paris VIII University.

Yann is a frequent public speaker sharing his experience as an entrepreneur, building or advising hypergrowth companies for 20 years.

TNW: Tell us about your current role/venture. What’s at the top of your mind with regard to your business?

YM: Our goal is to make it easier for our clients and partners to internationally scale their businesses.

TNW: Which business topics are you most interested in providing advice on?


  • When, where and how to scale your business internationally, and creating holistic win-win models with your stakeholders, including partners, clients, shareholders and employees.
  • How to deal with competition and differentiation.
  • How to make informed decisions about your company's strategy and direction.

TNW: How should a NextAdvisee approach their relationship with you, to get the best out of you?

YM: We are down-to-earth, pragmatic experts and entrepreneurs ourselves. NextAdvisees are invited to express their needs in written form and should be ready to work with external sparring partners.

TNW: What do you see as the benefits of an advice relationship, for the advisor?


Every conversation we have with a CEO enriches our repertoire of best practices and our sharing methodology.

TNW: Do you currently have a mentor?

YM: I have had several mentors in the past and can still call on some of them.

I am currently in need of a mentor myself to build the foundation of the next iteration of my company.

TNW: Which business matters have you most needed advice on during your career?


  • How to build the best support team to make your business a success.
  • How to prioritize projects, delegate tasks, manage your time and get others winning by sharing.
  • The benefits of openness while keeping secret what needs to be kept secret.

TNW: What is the most useful lesson you have learned from a mentor?

YM: Listening carefully for every signal you can perceive and reading between the lines whenever you communicate with someone.

TNW: Who would be your dream mentor in a fantasy world (they can be living or a historical figure)?

YM: Ghandi.

TNW: Is there anything we haven’t asked you, but you would like to share with our community?

YM: Please discard any stereotypes you might have regarding a white French male who has built several companies (some successful, some not). I am a human amongst others with the desire to and practice of learning and sharing.
