London: techpitch 4.5 Features The Latest Generation Tech Startups

2Pears, the team delivering events and networking for creative and startup companies in tech, music and media, are pleased to announce the details of the next techpitch 4.5 taking place on 5 July in London’s Silicon Roundabout. 

techpitch 4.5 is an evening pitch event created by 2Pears in order to showcase some of the latest tech startups to have taken part in the UKTI pitch-training workshops in the past 9 months. 

techpitch 4.5 will kick off at 6.30pm, and will be held at the Pinsent Masons’ HQ in London, 30 Crown Place, EC2A, courtesy of Bootlaw.

The evening will feature a keynote by serial entrepreneur and gaming expert Rodolfo Rosini, founder of Namaste, followed by quick-fire pitching by selected startups and ensuing grilling by a panel of expert judges led by Danvers Baillieu, co-founder of Bootlaw. 

The discussion, pitching and the judging will be followed by drinks and networking.

The panel of entrepreneurial experts acting as judges include:

Danvers Baillieu, co-founder of Bootlaw and senior associate at law firm Pinsent Masons LLP, representing many web startups and technology companies. 

Fraser Davidson, CEO and founder of Preparation Capital Limited ('PCL') a growth media and software focussed advisory firm and angel investor hub. Fraser is a marketeer turned investor. Fraser has over 9 years private equity investing experience, at PCL and August Equity LLP, with a particular focus on the media and technology sectors. 

Rodolfo Rosini, the CEO of Namaste Entertainment and is currently busy disrupting the MMO market. Previously, he founded Cellcrypt, a defense startup and sold it to private investors. He has a background in information security, encryption and playing Warcraft until fingers bleed. LSE dropout.

Sitar Teli, an Associate of Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures. Her investment interests include consumer and B2B Internet companies. Sitar is a board observer on SoundCloud.

Alex Harvey, an Associate at Silicon Valley Bank in London and is responsible for the financial analysis, structuring and management of debt relationships with European technology companies. Alex is part of a team that manages over $160MM in commitments and works closely with SVB portfolio clients including Aepona, The Foundry Visionmongers, PicoChip and Zoopla. 

Bindi Karia, the VC/Emerging Business lead for Microsoft UK and is the UK member of the Silicon Valley Emerging Business Team. She leads BizSpark and BizSpark One in the UK, where she focuses on how Microsoft can drive success for leading edge and early-stage technology companies. She is also responsible for managing the relationships with the UK Investor Community, including Venture Capitalist, Angels and other Investor Organisations. In addition, Bindi sits on many Advisory Boards, including Seedcamp, Astia UK, The Cambridge Phenomenon and TechMediaInvest.
