The renowned TED franchise, which advocates "ideas worth spreading" in Technology, Entertainment, and Design, is holding a conference next week dedicated to exploring how women and girls are reshaping the future.

On December 8th, 2010 in Washington DC, 500 Female leaders and dignitaries, such as Madeleine Albright, Arianna Huffington and Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook will be presenting their ideas in this cross-disciplinary, cross-generational program that will focus on women's contributions around the world.

The NextWomen participates on December 7th & 8th in the TEDxAmsterdamWomen event, one of 70 local and self-organized TEDx Women conferences, that is organized by 20 volunteers, including Marianne Spier and Ellen Bokkinga. The NextWomen is proud to be media partner of the event.
On December 7th, Dutch female leaders with various expertise will be holding 18 minute TED talks on subjects varying from investing in female entrepreneurs, women cardiology, interactive design, acting and development aid.

On December 8th, there will be a TEDxWomen Live Streaming Event of the main TED Women conference and a 50 women are holding mini TED talks, 3-minute standup talks on a huge number of subjects.
