eBay launches eBay Fashion LookBook to Attract More Fashion Shoppers

ebayeBay's recently appointed General Manager of eBay Fashion Miriam Lahage has initiated her first project at eBay with the introduction of eBay Fashion LookBook, its first "shoppable, shareable digital style gallery" showcasing new, vintage, designer and brand name clothing, shoes and accessories, and an important feature to attract fashion shoppers.
eBay is promoting the new LookBook gallery with events and contests, it's holding a contest in conjunction with the launch of LookBook. A panel will select one winner from among the top 25 submissions with the most votes and will give away prizes, including a $5,000 shopping spree on eBay.
Miriam Lahage has joined eBay after she finished her interim assignment with Outnet, a sister site of Net-a-Porter, which she accepted after she sold  startup Koodos. At the Outnet, she must have come to known the incredible success of the Net-a-Porter Lookbooks, which - in limited edition print- is a must have for the fashion shopper. But eBay is also following in the footsteps of successful  sites like Lookbook.nu and Chictopia.com.

Lahage, a Mentor in the NextWomen mentoring programme was quoted at Auctionbytes as saying about her first project at Ebay: "For the first time ever, the incredible variety of fashion merchandise available on eBay will essentially be curated by our shoppers. The LookBook enables our community to browse styles and trends for fall and then shop eBay's unparalleled selection based on the looks that inspire them. With more than 20 million daily live listings for our Fashion category, no other shopping destination can empower personal style like eBay."
