Female Entrepreneurs Win at the Drapers Awards 2010: The Best of the Online Fashion Industry

Founder Anna Bance at TheNextWomen Kitchen DInnerThe website for rental dresses, Girl Meets Dress, won the  Best Etail Innovation Award at Thursday night’s Drapers Etail Awards ceremony hosted by television presenter Claudia Winkleman in London.  The start-up, Girl Meets Dress, founded by Anna Bance in 2008, obtained the award because of its service innovation.

Another female led company that walked away with an award,  this time for Best Customer Experience, was last year’s gold winner my-wardrobe.com, led by CEO Sarah Curran.  According to The Online Fashion Agency,  My-Wardrobe, named as the accessible designer fashion paradise for online shoppers, generated over £1 million in sales in December alone, going from strength to strength since its launch in 2006, clearly qualifying Curran’s ability to provide an informed insight into making a success of an online business." Websites including: Radley, Mytights, Farfetch, Schuh and Coggles also celebrated as they picked up awards”
