Accenture Innovation Awards Entry Deadline – August 16th 2009
If you have an innovative concept, that was introduced to the market between January 1st 2006 and June 31st 2009 and originate from a Dutch or Belgian media, communication, entertainment or high-tech industry then you have until August 16th 2009 to enter the Accenture Innovation Awards.Female internet heroes did very well last year – let’s do even better this year. |
For the third year running, Accenture is organizing the Innovation Awards for Media, Communication and High Tech companies. Started as a way to honour innovative business, stimulate innovation and map out recent trends, the award have grown over the last two years into the leading innovation event in the Netherlands.
Last year more than 200 companies submitted their concepts, and this year is set to be the same with seven entry categories: best mobile concept, best web concept, best gaming concept, best connected device, best lifestyle concept, best business to business concept and best green concept. With the deadline for entries extended to Sunday August 16th 2009, The Innovation Seminar in early November will play host to the awards ceremony.
Female Internet Heroes
Last year, the winner and 50% of the top five were companies lead by women: Marina Tognetti of Myngle; Anna Chojnacka of 1% Club and Brigitta Schlumpf and Louise Verschuren of Wuzzon. Participants will benefit from the publicity generated by the Awards and will gain an overview of recent developments within their industries.
Jury
The jury will once again include high-calibre industry professionals. Although the jury is yet to be formerly announced, Accenture have confirmed that Professor Theo Huibers will once again lead the jury, which is set to include Willem Sijthoff (FD Groep), Lara Ankersmit (Telegraaf.nl), Simone Brummelhuis (The NextWomen), Sidney Mock (Spil Games), Jan Wildeboer (KPN), Michel Mol (NPO), Martijn Hamann (Endeit investments), Johan van de Gronden (WNF), Peter Werkhoven (TNO) and Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten (The Next Web).
