Inspirational women reveal their pearls of wisdom

Pearls of Wisdom by Sally KettleBusiness women shared their pearls of wisdom, revealing their success motto in the MET bar last week on the initiative of MORETOLIFETHANSHOES a community platform for women that make independent and interesting choices to fulfil their dreams. The event attracted a buzzing group of enthusiast, professional, creative women networking the evening away. The MET bar, in the cutting edge Metropolitan Hotel, owned by Singapore female business hero Christina Ong has 2000 creative, has a number of inspirational people as members and is the venue sponsor for moretolifethanshoes.

Entrepreneur and Boxer Laura Saperstein explained her life motto of ‘no-goal setting’ and how it has brought her success, first as  a journalist and then attorney at a magic circle firm, to boxer and now fashion entrepreneur. She did say that she was first determined to secure a regular income through project development, before she started to do what she really liked.

Another woman with an interesting career was Sally Kettle, the 1st woman to have rowed across the Atlantic East-West (with her mother), raising about 300.000 pounds for charity. When she succeeded she decided to do it again with a friend.  The whole affair has made her an entrepreneur as the four months endurance has been turned into a book, a play and soon a feature film titled 'Rowgirls, the movie' . She is now a professional and motivational speaker. Her life motto; ‘don’t make assumptions about what you can and cannot achieve’.
