19 January 2009: Day of Massive Voluntary Services for the Community
On behalf of President-elect Obama, Buffy Wicks, the Presidential Inaugural Committee's Director of National Service Day, calls upon all Americans to perform voluntary services benefiting the community on Monday January 19th. The website USA service.org is launched for that purpose. On the site you can find service events to host or attend that day. Also, Michelle Obama calls upon all citizens to participate in the first major change project: "Renew America Together".
