Promoting the concept of wisdemocracy, the site – which launched January 2008 - combines social networking with social enterprise to allow anyone and everyone the chance to gain hard-earned wisdom from the wise. The site is not just about mentoring for businesses, but covers a world of experiences from recovering from cancer to starting a business and moving abroad. Currently, the site has 6281 mentors, all of whom are volunteers and ready to help at the click of a mouse.

MT Rainey who hopes that everyone in Britain will at some point join as a mentor or a mentee. The site, which allows people to contact mentors in an anonymous, confidential and secure environment, is split into three main areas – Life, Work and Learning.

The site, set to become a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), also works in conjunction with a number of partners to provide links to professional resources which it is hoped will add value to the community. These partnerships include NUS, the National Union of Students and Fifty Forward, a life resource for the over 50's. The site is full of useful links, and includes snippets of information such as pearls of wisdom and mentor shoutouts.
