send grandmother a real card through facebook

As more people get online, there are also those realising there is business in marrying the on and offline world. One of these is Peggy, the offline grandmother who found it increasingly difficult to “stay in the loop with the younger and wired members of her family”.

Her answer?

Send it with Peggy

An application that allows her grandchildren to send her a real card through the internet. To use the service, Facebook users can download the Peggy Mail application and enter their message and the recipient's address from within the site. Peggy Mail then prints and delivers the postcard along with a pre-addressed, pre-stamped postcard for reply. The service is available within the UK and Ireland, and is free during its beta period. The initiative really means the online generation can now send “real nice messages even Gran can get".

Interesting. We offer a site for seniors or technology challenged to easily stay in touch wiht their online family members. Great for grandparents as well. Would be good idea to offer a real card as well like send it with peggy does, great initiative
