JS-KIT, with General Manager Nancy Cole, a professional developers of widgets for publishers, has closed a $3.6 financing this week with Altos Ventures. According to Kris Loux: "An important resource for the company was The Funded Connect which made the initial introductions". TheFunded Connect, founded by Adeo Rossi, is a free service to streamline fundraising, and greatly supported by among others Cathy Belk, CMO of JUMPSTART. For TheFunded is was the first deal after its launch.
According to The Funded, their website allows entrepreneurs to research, rate, and review venture funds from around the world, providing invaluable information and guidance to other entrepreneurs looking to raise critical growth capital. The site lists over 3,700 funds with contact information for over 17,000 investment professionals working at those funds. The are approximately 7,300 Members, over 95% of whom are CEOs of well-know start-ups.

JS-Kit closed the financing approximately 90 days after first being introduced to Altos Ventures through TheFunded Connect. According to its press release, JS-Kit is a leading provider of social widgets such as Comments, Ratings, Product Reviews, & Polls. The services are easy for publishers to install, simple to customize, and are an extremely low cost alternative to in-house development.
