start-ups, shopping and social responsibility
That shopping and social awareness can go hand in hand, proves recently launched SHOPDENIDA. The US-based website by founder Nikki Denida showcases products by women for women; it aims to be a creative web portal where you can buy art work, pet accessories, or jewellery created by women.
The site puts the spotlight on products but also the women behind them and the issues they have to deal with on a daily basis.
Now it is seeking the spotlight itself by entering in the IDEABLOB competition, the website where entrepreneurs can post and share their business ideas – and have a chance to win $10,000 towards fulfilling them.
Every few months the site will do a little extra- a silent auction, sales where the proceeds go to the charity or towards tackling women's issues.
The woman behind the website Nikki Denida also runs DeNapoli Services a company specializing in ecommerce customer service and services that ecom businesses need.
