Networking Silicon Valley Style
While the blogs are buzzing about the lack of female CEO's in Silicon Valley, Fortune reports on a new female social network. It is forming as Silicon Valley women find each other through the business they do, the companies they work for and the people they meet and date. Among the connections are:
-
Anne Wojcicki (founder 23andme) and Marissa Mayer (VP Search Product and User Experience Google). They know each other as Mayer manages google's investment in Anne's company. - Sukhinder Singh Cassidy (Gooogle's President for Asia-Pacific & Latin America Operations) and Theresia Gouw Ranzetta ( Investor Accel). They know each other because Cassidy funded Ranzetta's start-up Yodlee.
- Stephania Tilenius (VP for merchant services at PayPal, part of Ebay) and Lorna Borenstein (President Move). Lorna and Stephania worked together at Ebay Canada.

- Sue Decker (President Yahoo) and Sheryl Sandberg (CEO Facebook) Sue and Sheryl met through Sandberg's husband who ran Yahoo Music.
- Gina Bianchini (Founder Ning) and Lorna Borenstein (President Move). Gina and Lorna met through Lorna's husband who worked in corporate development at google.
