Wallpaper girls patterns: contemporary art

Noodle OnlineThis autumn "wallpaper girls" are blazing their way into the style charts by offering patterns on wallpapers. The intricate designs can be qualified as contemporary artwork, according to Barbara Chandler, Home editor of the Evening Standard.

Among them are Jocelyn Warner with large scale botanicals, and Deborah Bowness with a modern trompe-l'oeil. Sexy and flamboyant is the work of Johanna Basford. while Erica Wakely's geometric patterns are more modern.
