Travel Lounge for women

Kerstin Hoglheim, founder women\'s executive network The ‘Executive Women’s Network’ has opened an interactive travel Lounge on online business travel networking site Skylounge.com. It is the answer for some female business travellers who find it hard to randomly network during their trips due to safety and cultural issues.

Kerstin Hoghielm, director of the board of the Swiss-Swedish chamber of commerce and founder of the ‘executive women’s network’ is one of the first to create such business women lounge.

SkyLounge lets business travellers open their own Lounges, free of charge, and invite colleagues, connections etc. to join.  The sites allows you to see your contacts upcoming trips and when someone is in the same city as you, it sends you an e-mail trip alert.

The network created the Lounge to let its 200 members connect on the website and ultimately meet each other offline, to network, to exchange travel tips or to enjoy an after-work drink together.

Hoghielm told the Australian Women Online: “The lounge is private but any female business traveller can join free of charge. We plan on organizing networking events in several cities around the world which is very helpful and a lot of fun at the same time.”

The lounge currently only has 32 members, but Hoglheim aims that to be 10-15.000 in the coming months.

Well done
