Amazee: collaborate on a public goal
Projects ranging from 'fighting a hotel company' to 'save the Amazon', to 'bringing together students anxious to do well in the Zurich bar exam', the recently founded forum Amazee brings together such causes and encourages people to join them.
Amazee, co- founded by female hero Dania Gerhardt, claims to be the first online social collaboration forum. It seems however, to be part of the broader business trend to engage in collaboration online. But Amazee does differ from other social applications: it engages people over public social projects rather than engaging people on a ‘getting things done' basis such as platforms like Basecamp.
To get collaborators to engage in projects during the early stages of its development, Amazee has a competition running until the 31st of August to win € 10.000.
See here how Dania Gerhardt, Amazee's CFO pitches her company at Liftconference08. Amazee also recently finished in the Top 5 of start-ups pitching at Techcrunch.
