Next weekend: Blogher Conference California
Want to see the Blogosphere come to life? Next week is your chance: the ultimate female Blogher will be hosting a conference in San Franscisco from the 18th to the 20th of July.
The conference will feature technical labs, educational workshops, discussion sessions, talks by speakers from the blogosphere, and opportunities to network and socialize. If that sounds good, have a look at the speakers list, it's even better. It includes:
Aliza Sherman started the first woman-owned, full-service Internet company - Cybergrrl, Inc. - and the first online/offline women's networking organization - Webgrrls International, which had at its peak 30,000 participants in over 100 cities. Newsweek magazine named her one of the Top 50 People Who Mattered Most on the Internet, one of 5 women on the list.
Lisa Stone is a journalist, blogger and the originator of BlogHer. Before BlogHer.com and BlogHerAds.com, Lisa helped launch three sponsored blogging networks: American Lawyer Media| Law.com's legal blog network (2004), Knight Ridder Digital's Thatsracin.com (2005), and Glam Media (2005).
She has also been an executive producer and Editor in Chief/VP of Programming for Women.com (acquired by iVillage in 2001).
Founder and CEO of JustCauseIt.com, an online source for stories about people making positive changes in the world. Alyssa Royse is part of social media movement. Her work in the non-profit world led to Fast Company Magazine naming her one of the top 50 entrepreneurs in the world.
We welcome them to fly after Blogher to our own first conference at PICNIC!.
